Conference in Stockholm

The APEnet project in cooperation with National Archives of Sweden had the pleasure of organising a three day event themed “Communicating Archival Metadata” 28 – 30 June 2011.
During a one day conference and two days of workshops in Stockholm, Sweden, we explored the use of EAC-CPF, METS
and OAI-PMH in the context of archives.

 

Visit to the Estonian National Archives in Tartu

APEnet visited the National Archives in Tartu on 6 October 2010.

The project APEnet gradually extends the circle of partners. Thus, the National Archives of Belgium and Ireland became partners in October 2009, and at the last assembly of the project in June this year, the National Archives of Bulgaria, Estonia and the Czech Republic have been confirmed as associated partners.

Europeana Conference

Open Culture 2010 Conference: Wikipedia, Google and the GLAMs

Colleagues from Europe’s galleries, libraries, archives and museums – GLAMs – heard about innovations in their sector from Wikipedia and Google at the annual Europeana conference, Open Culture 2010, in Amsterdam on the 14/15 October.

APEnet presented at the SAA

In the beginning of August, the project was presented at the Annual meeting of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) in Washington D.C.
